John Haywood is a photographer, author, and creator of Waterfalls of Upstate New York and Waterfalls of New York. His writings and photography have appeared in a number of magazines, websites, and books such as Adirondac, Peeks, Hudson Valley Magazine, Visit Adirondacks, Outdoor Project, and the Keene Valley Region Waterfall Guide.
In addition to the Adirondack Fifty Fall Challenge, John has also written the Finger Lakes Region Waterfall Challenge, Hudson Valley Waterfall Challenge, Family-Friendly Waterfall Hikes in the Adirondacks, and the New York State Waterfall Guide.
Russell Dunn is a former NYS Licensed Hiking Guide and author of eight regional waterfall guidebooks, four regional paddling guidebooks, seven regional hiking guidebooks, an adventured-oriented book about the Great Sacandaga Lake, and co-author of Ausable Chasm in Pictures & Story. In addition, he has published eleven photobooks of stereographic images. Dunn lives in Albany with his wife, Barbara Delaney, who is also a writer of both fiction and non-fiction.
