While making the rounds to check on some waterfalls’ accessibility, we noted new signs up at Christine Falls in Wells/Speculator reading “Private property. Dangerous Location. Stay off dam”
In the interest of not ruffling anyone’s feathers, and being respectful of private property, we’re updating the guidebook to remove Christine Falls. If you’ve already visited, it’s still good, however, if not, please don’t go there. We’ll most likely add a substitute waterfall to take its place.
A note for High Falls Dam in Saranac…We checked on this location last week and found there is no street sign for that section of Wilson Rd. Wilson road looped around at one point, but has since been cut-off. Look for a dirt road with a yellow gate east of Wilson Rd.
